An integral part of the WKLIP is the Newcomer Advisory Committee (NAC). Comprised of newcomers from the cities of Trail, Nelson and Castlegar, the NAC will work to inform the initiatives and activities identified by the LIP by providing the immigrant perspective. The NAC will also support the LIP in identifying the needs of newcomers, as well as our communities’ assets and gaps. Through the eyes of newcomers, the LIP can implement targeted activities aimed at creating a strong and resilient region that all can call home.
